In the world of real estate, the term Private sales refer quite simply to simply sales that do not involve a real estate agent. These are also referred to as FSBO or for sale by owner sales

Whilst private sales still only account for a minority of all property sales, they are becoming increasingly popular all over Australia, the US and UK as well as the rest of the world.

The main draw for most private sales sellers is that by selling your home privately you can literally save thousands on real estate agents commission or fees. Of course private sales do involve a bit more work than selling your property through an agent, however many private sellers find that it is not as much work as they previously thought.
